Book now for Santa at Christmas Lights event

Written by Peter Davison .

Father Christmas will be making a welcome return to Marlborough Town Hall on Thursday, November 28 for the switching-on of the town’s Christmas Lights – and his elves are taking bookings now!

Santa will be in his grotto from 3pm to meet the children of the town, courtesy of We Love Marlborough, ahead of the countdown and switch-on at 7pm.

We Love Marlborough will also be running arts activities in the court room, while volunteers from Wiltshire Wildlife Trust help visitors make recycled Christmas decorations and cards.

Outside, Marlborough Communities Market provide Christmas gift shopping opportunities in High Street, while food producers will be supplying seasonal delights to eat on the night or to stock the festive freezer.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Marlborough Community Choir, Marlborough Concert Orchestra and Marlborough Academy of Dance and Drama.

Marlborough's Christmas lights display is funded by Marlborough Town Council.
