Brewin Dolphin’s word to LitFest is good for three years

Highlights of this year’s festival so far include Michael Morpurgo, author and historian Tom Holland and bestselling international crime writer, Peter James, as well as Sally Nicholls, Jessie Burton, Ben Rawlence, Harry Parker and Guy Burgess biographer, Andrew Lownie for the weekend of 30 September – 2 October, 2016.

The programme is still being put together but in its sixth year Marlborough LitFest will offer a mix of fiction, non-fiction, new and young emerging authors, poetry and children’s programme as well as an event to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.

Jan Williamson, chairman of Marlborough LitFest, said: “We are so grateful to Brewin Dolphin for their continuing support.

“They have been with us from the very beginning and without them Litfest wouldn’t have got off the ground. It makes a big difference to know we have their support for the next three years.”

The support of Brewin Dolphin for another three years ensures Marlborough LitFest can move forward and plan for forthcoming festivals with a degree of stability.

It is through valuable sponsorship such as this that the LitFest, a charitable organisation, is able to carefully manage its budget so it can pay its attending authors, said Jan.
