What's happening around the town
a selection of displays from across Marlborough
Everywhere you look there are planters and hanging baskets brimming with summer bedding in delicious ice-cream citrus colours.
All this has been achieved by the generous sponsorship of local government, businesses, clubs and societies. Great emphasis is laid on community involvement by the Britain in Bloom judges and Marlborough has responded splendidly.
Wiltshire Council have allocated a generous Area Board Grant which has funded the building of many of the eye-catching planters along the High Street. These have been hand built by Estates Manager Richard Beale and his team of Marlborough Town Council gardeners.
Marlborough Gardening Association sponsored planters have beautified the bare pavements beneath High Walls. Brewin Dolphin, Marlborough & District Rotary Club and Marlborough Mowers are all sponsoring beautiful hanging basket displays which complement those provided by Marlborough Town Council.
The Marlborough in Bloom committee is delighted with the town's response and would like to thank everyone for their support.
