Head of Strings

Marlborough College seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and well-qualified individual capable of leading the String Department, teaching violin/viola one to one, coaching chamber music (where required) and some orchestral coaching and performing.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding string player and teacher of repute.  He or she will have the ability to inspire pupils within the String Department and beyond, and will be driven to ensure a very high quality of learning, commensurate with the breadth and quality of opportunity afforded to Marlborough College pupils. 

Ability and enthusiasm for working alongside children is of paramount importance to this role as is the ability to work independently and, at times, to work under pressure.  The successful candidate will be happy to teach pupils of all abilities from beginner to advanced level (diploma and beyond) in a range of styles.
