It’s nonsense that the public should pay for CCTV

Written by John Kehoe on .

Sirs,

A simple question.  Events organisers have to pay for event security, private residents are responsible for the security of their properties.  On what possible grounds can commercial bodies possibly have a claim on public funds for CCTV?

Or should I expect my neighbours to pay if I install security measures on my home?

Councillor Nick Fogg is right.  Enough of this nonsense.

Yours,
