The Conservative candidate's decision not to attend the environmental hustings

I don’t blame Claire Perry for declining to go to the PEAT (Pewsey Environmental Action Team) General Election hustings meeting on environmental issues this Thursday.
Claire Perry was the only candidate who had the courage at last Wednesday’s hustings in Marlborough to support fracking as one of the means to secure the future energy needs of the UK.

I went to a meeting last year organised by Transition Marlborough on fracking, assuming there would be a balanced presentation on the topic. It was anything but balanced and was just a meeting to give the anti-fracking point of view.

I think the PEAT meeting would be the same and should be billed as a Green Party presentation where there would be very little discussion of some of their hair brained ideas.
