Sirs
Three members of Marlborough and District Embroiderers’ Guild are trying to trace the origins of a long piece of work entitled Twenty Famous Women, which used to hang in the Day Room at Savernake Hospital.
It was made by E.K.Morris and her sewing group in 1981. It was beautifully made and much appreciated in the hospital, but it cannot now be displayed unless behind glass – an expensive option as it measures 25′ x 15″.
Does anyone remember this embroidery or the ladies who made it?
Any information would be gratefully received by Audrey Peck on 01672 289065.
