A work colleague has just shown me your report about the retail trade in 'vibrant Marlborough'.
Is this partial survey carried out, it says, for some retailers' magazine, really news?
Who judges what are 'undesirable' shops? You say they include pawnbrokers, betting shops, pay-day loan shops, e-cigarette shops and bingo clubs.
I bet retailers don't much like libraries and churches either. As for charity shops (of which your report makes no mention) they are, I expect, on the retailers' list of 'undesirables' too.
What a load of snobbish tosh. I like Marlborough News Online. Please do better than this article which smacks of PR.
