Silverless Street - December 2014 - photo 1Silverless Street - December 2014 - photo 1The photo we published last week of a juggernaut stuck as it tried to turn left out of Silverless Street into Kingsbury Street has - quite understandably - caused a bit of a flap.

Here are two more photos taken last December by a Marlborough resident of a lorry trying to negotiate its way out of Silverless Street - and if it missed the buildings, it was probably trashing the pavements and their kerbs.

Now Marlborough News Online is asking for your photos of inappropriately large lorries trying to negotiate the town's narrower streets - and so risking damage to heritage buildings, be they shops or houses.

The other day one resident of Silverless Street put the problem this way: "We often have lorries along Silverless Street and we are concerned the lack of foundations and cellars will not withstand the weight."

And the residents of Kingsbury Street risk having their shops and homes knocked about by drivers whose satnavs do not tell them where they cannot take their juggernauts.

There will be a small prize for the most shocking photograph submitted to This email address is being protected from spambots.
