Predictable consequences follow roadworks

Written by Peter Davison on .

It’s Friday afternoon, and there are roadworks on Salisbury Road. That can only mean one thing: Carmageddon.

Three-way traffic lights have been erected at the roundabout outside Marlborough Business Park on Salisbury Road to allow workmen to bring power to a newly-installed BT cabinet.

The roadworks stretch 58 metres from the BP petrol station, across the A346, to the boundary of the Crown Estates land, and are scheduled to run until September 16.

Facebook users are currently reporting travel times of one hour from Marlborough High Street to Tesco.
