Burglars broke into house while elderly occupant was in bed

Police are investigating after burglars broke into a house while the elderly occupant was at home.

The incident happened at approximately on January 11 8.15pm at an address in Reeds Ground, Marlborough.

Burglars forced open a door at the property causing damage, but nothing was stolen from inside the home.

PC Teresa Herbert said: “This was understandably a distressing incident for the elderly resident who was in bed at the time.

“We have been carrying out a thorough investigation into this incident including house to house enquiries, but I would like to appeal to members of the public who may have seen or heard somebody acting suspiciously in the area.
