FRIDAY, February 17: last day to complete Neighbourhood Plan housing & business needs survey

Written by Tony Millett on .

Members of the steering group responsible for drawing up the Marlborough Area's Neighbourhood Plan are reminding residents of Marlborough, Mildenhall, Preshute and Savernake parishes that Friday (February 17) is the last day for submission of the housing survey.

So far more than 800 housing surveys have been filled in and returned.

The forms that were delivered to all homes in the parishes can be posted (in the pre-paid envelope) or the survey can be filled in online here.

The Business & Employment Working Party under the umbrella of Marlborough Area Neighbourhood Plan steering group has sent out a separate business survey to all the businesses in the plan area.

The business survey sent out recently to shops, companies, farms etc should be returned by February 28.

One of the Steering group members told Marlborough.News: "This data analysis is vital as it's the only sure fire way to feed the information into the final plan analysis making sure that the business and employment needs are catered for in the coming years within the plan area. "

The steering group stress again that all information given in survey is completely confidential and will be processed appropriately in line with data protection policies and laws.

Once approved, the Neighbourhood Plan will give the parishes greater say in planning matters and also bring them a much greater share of the Community Infrastructure Levy that will in future be paid by developers to help the infrastructure keep up with the area's growing population.
