GENERAL ELECTION: Six candidates standing in the Devizes Constituency

Written by Tony Millett on .

Nominations closed at 4pm on Thursday (May 11) for candidates wanting to stand in the General Election on June 8.

In addition to the four candidates we have already reported as putting their names forward for the Devizes Constituency Parliamentary seat, there are two more:

Timothy Page of Trowbridge is standing for the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) and Jim Gunter of Broad Hinton is standing as the Wessex Regionalists candidate.

They are in addition to the candidates previously announced who are representing the Conservative, Green, Labour and Liberal Democrat Parties.

The details of the nominations are to the right - they can be enlarged by clicking on the image.

Marlborough Churches Together are organising a hustings for Marlborough on May 30 at 7.30pm in St Mary's Church - the Town Hall was not available.  It will be an opportunity for the candidates to make their pitch and to answer questions from voters.
