Four rare and expensive bikes stolen in Ramsbury - Police appeal for information

Four expensive and unusual bikes were stolen from a garage at Chapel Lane, Ramsbury at some point between 5pm on 22 July and 7.50pm on 25 July.

Police are appealing for information regarding the theft from the alarmed premises.

Descriptions of the bikes and accessories are:

  • A Boardman Air TT 9.4 (top right in pic) with Look Keo pedals, Reynolds Stryke carbon wheels, ISM demo saddle in black with blue piping, BTwin tool bottle with tools and repair kit.
  • Trek 2.5 WSD (top left)  with saddle bag and repair kit with Cateye bike computer.
  • Isaac Kelvin (lower right) bike with SRAM Garmin quick view mount, Lithion tyres with red tyre walls, PRO tool bottle with tools and repair kit, and a white Lezyne Road Drive pump.
  • Moda Major (lower left) with Decathlon lights front and rear, and BTwin saddle bag.

Community coordinator PC Teresa Herbert said: “Understandably, the loss of these bikes has been upsetting to the owners and we would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the area during this time frame. Information you have could really help our enquiries and return these bikes to the owners.

“We’d like to urge residents to be mindful of home security, especially over the summer if you are off on holiday.

“If your home has an alarm fitted, we would encourage you to ensure the system extends to your garage.  Chain tools, bikes and any other valuable equipment together using high security chain or cable and a good quality closed shackle padlock.  Consider using an alarmed padlock if the alarm would be heard in your area.  Please also make sure you photograph any valuable items and keep these in a secure place.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
