Renowned artist Colin Brown will be launching a brand new collection of original artwork at Framemakers Gallery in Marlborough High Street, on Saturday 23 September where he will be in attendance between 12pm and 3pm.
The collection will comprise images of some of the world’s most infamous cities, including; London, New York, Paris, Venice, Sydney and Havana. But in addition, Colin will be launching an exclusive collection of paintings he has been working on of Marlborough and the surrounding area.
Having enjoyed a successful twenty year career as a graphic designer, Colin changed direction two years ago and is now thriving in the freedom of life as a professional artist.
‘Street Scenes’ are Colin’s speciality. His colourful, impressionistic style allows him to bring diverse atmospheres of cities and towns the world over into the homes of his collectors. With his young family he still travel extensively always on the lookout for inspiration to take back to his Somerset studio and bring to life in his own distinctive style.
His graphic design background means he is very comfortable in working on customer commissions – he welcomes the chance to “meet and greet” and hear about that special place or memory which he can recreate in his own distinctive style.
Colin has already enjoyed a great reaction to his work which is now offered for sale in numerous independent galleries throughout the UK, as well as featuring in many corporate and private collections further afield in Europe, the USA and South America.
