Rare bikes stolen during a burglary in Lockeridge
Police are appealing for information after two high value bikes were stolen during a burglary in Glebe Meadows, Lockeridge early last month. Two unusual bikes were stolen, one being extremely rare and identifiable.
Between 9 and 11 October a garage was broken into via a side window and two road bikes were stolen.
One of these bikes had been locked with a motorcycle chain to a heavy duty bike rack in the garage. This was the Cervelo S3 with carbon fibre wheels and green, black and white in colour. Part of the rack was removed with the bike. The second bike stolen was a blue Trek Madone.
PC Nicky Cross said: “It would appear that this was a targeted burglary – these bikes are extremely expensive and one in particular is very unique. The family are desperate for the return of these bikes and we would appeal to anyone who may have information either about the incident itself, or the whereabouts of the bikes, to please call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
