Could your Christmas presents be stolen? Police ask for information following two Marlborough burglaries

Wiltshire Police are asking for help in the recovery of items of jewellery stolen in two separeate burglaries in the Marlborough area.  They have re-released photos of stolen jewellery in the hope that they may be recognised by someone who may have received them as gifts.

The break-ins are believed to have happened between 30 August and 1 September at an address on the High Street, Burbage, and a house in East Grafton.

Amongst the items stolen were a high value engagement ring described as a platinum band with a solitaire diamond.  Also stolen was a Lapponian 18 carat gold bracelet, a George Gensell Coppell gold watch and a de Beers prestige diamond ring (see main pic).

PC Jayne Wilby has been investigating the incidents.  She said: “We are releasing the pictures again as someone may have been given one or a number of these items for Christmas.

"Some have a lot of sentimental value and the owners are understandably upset and distressed at their loss. They are desperate to have them returned.

“I’d like to appeal to anyone who may have information regarding these items;  if you received any of these as gifts please contact me immediately."

Anyone with information should call PC Jane Wilby on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
