Taking the stress out of divorce – a new business gives a helping handHelping Hands Divorce PA is a new business designed to assist those going through a divorce by offering practical, cost effective help and advice.
Sarah Rigby, who has been an event manager for over thirty years, has set up the business to fill the gap she believes exists between the legal requirements of a divorce and the personal, emotional demands made on those involved.
Sarah is offering to be a divorce personal assistant to help navigate and project manage, and to execute a plan of action. Sarah told marlborough.news, “I think I’m a safe pair of hands, calm, pragmatic and can help people get through it and hopefully to avoid excessive legal costs.”
Sarah is not offering legal advice and is not a coach or a therapist but can offer support in many ways. She is able to assist with all the paperwork involved, the preparation of legal documents, such as Witness Statements and Exhibits or a Form E. She can also assist with moving house and all that that entails and by offering support at Court.
“If the divorce is litigious, it is quite daunting to go to Court and having someone to accompany you is very useful.”
The idea for the business came from Sarah’s experience of divorce, her own and those of her friends and family. She aims to bring clarity to a situation and to be someone who is there, who understands the process and can empathise.
“Often without the right support, when you are too emotional, time-poor and in desperate need of some headspace, this can result in the wrong choices being made. I can give back control to the person or persons in the process by creating a plan. When you have a plan you feel calmer.”
“I feel very passionate about making a real difference to people who are going through the process. I charge an hourly rate so I’m very cost effective.”
