The Queen visits Newbury Racecourse…& a fine win for Alan King

Pic:  Newbury RacecoursePic: Newbury RacecourseThe Queen was at Newbury Racecourse for the second day of the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials Weekend.    She watched three of her horses race - gaining a second place on the score sheet.

 


Local Barbury Castle trainer Alan King scored a major win in Newbury's Mansionbet Spring Cup with eight year-old Chatez under William Buick.  Chatez is owned by Mrs Peter Andrews whose colours were so familiar to Newbury fans with their horse Smad Place - a popular winner of the Hennessy Gold Cup in 2015.
