FREE PARKING in Marlborough this Saturday

Written by Neil Goodwin on .

This Saturday - 26 October - normal parking charges are being waived in all of the town's parking areas.  Between 08:00 and 18:00 everyone will be able to park for free, but you may end up with a ticket if you overstay in the normal short term 'timed' spaces in the High Street, or in Hilliers Yard, Polly Gardens or The Parade.

Wiltshire Council, who take all the parking revenue have agreed to give the town time to allow the public to park free, and the Town Council has decided that this Saturday, one of the main shopping days in the run-up to Christmas will be a designated Free Parking day.

The Long Term car parks - George Lane and Hyde Lane are free for as long as you want to stay.  To find out the maximum lengths of stay in each of the parking areas of the town click here to visit the page on the Wiltshire Council website.
