The volcanic and nautical hues of the art are printed on all the clothing and accessories in the shop creating unique and individual pieces.

Liz told marlborough.news: “The journey from art to fashion and fabric seemed to be a natural progression. It’s easy to make money doing what you love. Art, fashion, sea, surf, homeware and comfort are all the things I love and they are all together in the shop. Luckily other people love them too so it’s not that indulgent.”

Liz aims to create a simple, yet classic wardrobe for the adventurous woman. Her silk collection includes pieces to layer, plain silk over printed with scarves to accessorize. She has also designed a range of active wear all colour coordinated with her prints. This range has been extremely popular.

The homeware includes lampshades and cushion covers - and of course there are the paintings, many depicting the sea.  Liz is a keen sailor, surfer and kayaker: “I was born by the sea in Dorset so the sea is in my blood and it comes through in the brush.”

Famara is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Liz is holding an Open Evening on Thursday November 14 when the shop will be open until 8.30pm. Customers will be offered a free glass of wine. The piano bar at Movida, next door will also be open that evening and will host an additional art exhibition.
