'Create a Bee' competition for Marlborough in Bloom - judging at St Peter's
'Create a Bee' competition held as part of this year's 'Marlborough in Bloom' programme.Who would be a judge? An extremely difficult task confronted local artists Malcolm Ward and Sue Thomson when they arrived at St Peter's school this morning (Friday 17 June) to judge the entries to the
"The level of creativity is quite astounding" exclaimed Diana Cooper of the Marlborough in Bloom comittee who had organised the competition. "The range of ideas is so wide and the end products are so beautifully produced, I'm so glad that I'm not going to be judging the winners" she added.
Beckie Ambrosini, Lead Art Teacher at St Peter’s helped and ecouraged the pupils to come up with ideas and turn them into something quite special. Some of the results are displayed below.
The results will be announced soon, the winning pupils will receive a special 'Bee' mug and a voucher £15 from Ducklings Toy Shop, runners up a £10 voucher, and 3rd place £5 voucher. Other entries may receive 'Certificates of Commendation' from the judges. Winning entries will be displayed in some of the High Street shop windows as from week commencing 11 July to stay there until after Tuesday 19 July, the day that the Royal Horticultural Society judges arrive to assess the Town's blooming efforts
