Its brief life as Marlborough's only Piano Lounge ended some months ago and it is now badged once again as The Crown Hotel - with a new pub-sign.
The building's freehold is being marketed by the Bath offices of chartered surveyors James A Baker. The asking price is quoted as "£525,000 plus VAT".
It is being advertised as an "Attractive circa 18th Century Grade II listed pub with six letting rooms."
However, the agents also say it has "Alternate use potential subject to obtaining the necessary consents".
The first viewing day was on Wednesday (March 15.)
Over the last few years The Crown has changed owners and licensees with some regularity. And in one of its most recent forms it has suffered some woeful TripAdvisor reviews.
