Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service are developing a public safety plan to last to the end of 2016. The draft plan is available on their website and everyone is encouraged to take part in the consultation.
But hurry – the consultation ends on August 1.

The service has already had to cope with a £1.8 million cut in its £25 million budget. And from 2015 there will be another cut of between £1.5 million and £2 million.
They are determined not close any fire stations – “Because we have a response time requirement”.
And the cost of the service to each household? About 17 pence a day.
