Wiltshire Council are holding a series of meetings to give people the chance to question cabinet members and other senior councillors about budget proposals for the coming financial year – 2017-2018.
They have done this in past years, but this year – following lobbying by the Marlborough Area Board – a meeting has been arranged for Marlborough.
This Wednesday, (October 5) this extra meeting will take place at the Town Hall at 5.30pm.
The council currently spends £900 million each year on more than 350 services. Changing demographics, continuing reductions in funding from central government and changes to the way future government funding might be provided, mean further savings need to be found.
Wiltshire Council’s priorities continue to be supporting the most vulnerable in our communities, as well as boosting local economies, safeguarding and creating jobs, and building even stronger communities.
Those able to be at this meeting are asked – please – to confirm their attendance by emailing: events@wiltshire.gov.uk
