Vote early and vote often...for ARK

Action for the River Kennet (ARK) have the chance to receive funding for a new project to improve the River Dun at Froxfield - so long as ARK's friends and supporters vote and vote often.

This chance of funding comes through the competition run by the Aviva Community Fund, which will finance over 800 projects at various levels - spreading their awards to communities throughout the UK.

Voting for projects which are applying for Aviva funding is open to everyone.

Aviva says: "We want you to enter a project for your community and tell us what a difference these much-needed funds could make."

"Get enough votes from friends, family and supporters in your community and your project could be entered into the Finals, where a judging panel will award the funds."

"If your project gets among the most votes and wows our judges, it will be in with a chance of receiving those much-needed funds."

Anyone can vote up to ten times for ARK. It is free - all you have to do is register - you can find the project here.  If in trouble search for Action for the River Kennet in the Project Title.

ARK's Project Officer, Anna Forbes, says:  "This would be a brilliant project.  The River Dun is currently failing to reach 'Good ecological status', we would like to help change this through river restoration and lots of community involvement in a variety of ways."
