Public meeting on Aldbourne’s proposed new community project

The proposed facilities include a sports pavilion, a dedicated band room for Aldbourne Band and a Big New Hut for local Scouts and Guides.  Planning permission has been secured for the access track and fundraising is underway.

So far funding has come from the Marlborough Area Board, the Medlock Trust and £3,000 has been raised from local donations.  Earthline - a major haulage, aggregate and ground-work company - has offered to lay the access track at cost of materials only.

In December Claire Perry MP visited Aldbourne and inspected the plans and saw how fundraising was going: “Best of luck and huge thanks to everyone in Aldbourne who is involved in this brilliant project,”

After leafleting the village, the ARC committee held well-attended public consultations in December.  There are more details on ARC's website and Facebook page: 'Aldbourne Sport and Recreation Centre'.
