Last Sunday bus to Salisbury

Written by Tony Millett on .

Buses running on Sundays and public holidays between Marlborough and Salisbury are being cut following Wiltshire Council's consultation exercise carried out last year.  Subsidies are no longer being provided for routes that carry 'very few passengers'.

The Stagecoach Service Five linking Swindon, Marlborough, Pewsey, Upavon, Enford & Netheravon with Amesbury and Salisbury will no longer run south of Marlborough towards Salisbury on Sundays and public holidays.

The last day for this service will be Sunday, 26 March 2017.

In order to get to Salisbury by bus on Sundays and public holidays, people living in Marlborough will have to get to Pewsey to catch the Salisbury Reds services which leave North Street, Pewsey at 0755 and 0845.  Return services leave Salisbury (Blue Boar Row - Stop N) at 1730 and 1830.

At other times on Sundays and public holidays the Salisbury Reds only run south from and back to Larkhill Medical centre.
