Town Council's grant for Marlborough St Mary's IT gear

When the Key Stage 2 Complex Needs Resource Base opens at the new Marlborough St Mary's Primary School in September, it will have IT equipment paid for by a Town Council grant.

This Resource Base will be for a class of children with wide ranging special educational needs who particularly benefit from touch sensitive screens.

The £2,244.00 grant will buy equipment including an interactive white board with a built in projector and anti-glare screen.

The grant went through at the meeting of the Full Council (July 24) without discussion - though Councillor Guy Loosmore did voice amazement that a new school could open without up to date equipment: "It staggers me that there's no provision for new equipment."
