Bill Bailey to be speaker at North Wessex Downs AONB forum
The comedian - and keen walker - Bill Bailey will be the keynote speaker at the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) annual forum.
This is being held in partnership with the Ridgeway National Trail at the Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall in Uffington on Wednesday, 18 October - 9am until 5pm.
The theme for this year's forum is The Great Outdoors. Bill Bailey has recently walked the Ridgeway for a second time to raise funds for Stand Up to Cancer.
The Forum will include presentations, discussions and field visits and is open to everyone. The presentations will consider the great outdoors from a variety of perspectives including: Art and the Landscape, the Future for Cycling in the AONB and How Being Outdoors can Improve our Mental Health.
Henry Oliver, director of the North Wessex Downs AONB is delighted to have Bill Bailey as this year's keynote speaker: "He is a great ambassador for the joys and benefits of the great outdoors."
"The forum is always a very lively and informative event and this year we have a particularly strong programme of speakers and field visits. I’d recommend booking early as places are limited.”
