Marlborough Air Ambulance Supporters deliver nearly £5,000 to the charity, and wave goodbye to Chair Audrey
Marlborough Supporters of Wiltshire Air Ambulance have had a fifth good year and will be giving the charity £4857.83, which includes £557.83 from voluntary donations in the collecting buckets on the entrance, from the seven Car Boot Sales on Marlborough Common.
Audrey Peck is standing down and handing the reigns to Vice Chairman, Daniel Claridge. He will be working with his mother, Mary, and Joe Durling.
Audrey says that they, with Alec Light, have been a wonderful team. She has been supported by her family, and Alec's family have arrived early every month to direct the cars. They will be missed and we would all like to thank them for their support. It was Audrey’s idea to start the car boot sales, her enthusiasm and fun loving nature has kept us going for five years, she also encouraged her good friends Enid and Lionel Peck to help her with the tombola, which boosted the total raised and we thank them for turning out in all weathers to help us.
Audrey will be greatly missed, but she will likely be a regular visitor to the Common to add a bit of support or help if needed. The 2018 season of Wiltshire Air Ambulance Car Boot sales will kick off March 17, on the Common at 8am.
