“We are keeping an open mind as to whether this incident is part of a spate of burglaries in the area, as we have also received reports of three other burglaries in the Wootton Rivers and Burbage areas between 12 and 16 September. During these incidents, sheds were broken into and a number of tools stolen in Heathy Close, a shed was broken into in Webbs Way although nothing was stolen and a shed in South Bank was broken into – again nothing appears to have been stolen.
“We would like residents to feel reassured that we are carrying out extensive enquiries in relation to all of these incidents. We’d urge you to be mindful of home security at all times and to report any suspicious behaviour to 101. If you think a crime is in progress, please call 999.”
