Marlborough Building Supplies becomes Kellaways following take-over
Following the take-over of Marlborough Building Supplies by Bristol based Kellaway Building Supplies at the start of last year the MBS site on the Business Park has now been rebranded as Kellways.
Kellaway Building Supplies' acquisition of the successful, family run Marlborough company takes their branch network to thirteen and gives the company a greater foothold in Wiltshire, following the opening of its Swindon branch in 2003. The business also has branches in Bristol, Bath, Stonehouse, Worcester, Bridgwater and Wincanton. It now employs over 200 people across its branches and Bristol based head office.
Marlborough Building Supplies was opened in 2001, growing consistently since and moved to their current site in 2013. As part of the acquisition Marlborough owner Matthew Kiely will remain as Branch Manager and the operational staff employed at Marlborough have been retained and Kellaway are actively developing three members of the team - two of which are progressing into management roles and one is in the process of obtaining his LGV C Licence.
Kellaway Managing Director Julian Milligan said "We are delighted to have acquired Marlborough Building Supplies and would like to welcome the staff who are becoming a part of the Kellaway team. Matt and the team have built a successful and profitable business over the past 10 years or so and we are looking forward to building on this, with them, in the coming years."
Branch Manager Matt Kiely added "Becoming part of the growing Kellaway Building Supplies branch network is an exciting prospect for us all. Kellaway share our goals of offering exceptional service to both trade and DIY and investing in local workforce with exceptional staff training and development."
