Plans plans for Aldbourne’s annual community market on the village green were literally blown away on September 21 by some unfriendly if seasonal winds.
Nothing daunted, they have rescheduled for Sunday, October 21 – and the weather forecast looks much more favourable.
If all goes to plan, the green will be taken over by dozens of local traders. It is, villagers say, a great place to shop for fine crafts, local foodie treats, takeaway brunch, plants and much more.
With the clocks about to change, now is a good time to think of presents for friends and families and the traders will have a full range on hand.
The organisers’ have a pound-wise pitch: “Prices are often much less than on the high street too – making ours a genuinely special retail experience! Come with friends or make new ones over a coffee and a light bite.”
The Aldbourne Autumn community market takes place from 11am – 2pm Sunday, 21 October.
