Carrot crisis

Written by Tony Millett on .

While we were all keeping dry, a crisis has hit the Greatwood Charity at Clench Common near Marlborough.

They look after retired racehorses and the horses help with children who have special educational or social needs.

Racehorses - retired and competing - like carrots.  Greatwood says that "...due to unforeseen circumstances we are are no longer receiving our usual carrot delivery. All carrot donations gratefully received!"

It's not even 30 March 2019 and we're running out of vegetables.  We may even have to bring back the Second World War Ministry of Food's "Doctor Carrot" campaign!

Greatwood is at Rainscombe Hill Farm, Clench Common, SN8 4DT - other contact details can be found on their website.
