Local sporting legend retiresThe event rider Sir Mark Todd, who represented New Zealand at seven Olympics, has retired. He is acknowledged to be one of the sports’ all time great athletes.
Sir Mark, aged 63, who is based at Badgerstown near Marlborough, announced his decision at the international horse trials in County Waterford where he and Jonelle and Tim Price won the Irish leg of the Nations Cup for New Zealand.
