Motorcyclist dies in A338 collision

A motorcyclist has died following a collision at Collingbourne Kingston.  The collision happened at about 6.30pm on Friday, 20 September.

The motorcyclist was travelling southbound along the A338 and a Peugeot Partner van was travelling northbound when the collision took place. 


The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50s from the Marlborough area, died at the scene.  His family are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer.


The driver of the van was taken to Salisbury District Hospital with minor injuries. 

The road was closed for about six hours to allow for an investigation of the crash scene.
