Teenage cyclist killed on A4 at Clatford
A teenage cyclist from Hampshire was killed in a collision with a van at the Clatford crossroads on the A4, about a mile and a half to the west of Marlborough just before 6pm on Wednesday (July 25.).
“He was out cycling with his family when he was in collision with a white Mercedes van driven by a 32-year-old man from Melksham on the A4 at the Clatford junction to the west of Marlborough,” said the police report.
The 14-year old boy was certified dead at the scene following the collision with a white 'Sprinter' type van. It is believed he was staying with relatives in the area.
Sergeant Dick Moorhouse, a member of SCIT, told Marlborough News Online: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this tragic incident so that we can prepare a full report for the coroner.
