Mental health service criticised again
The Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust which provides adult services for Wiltshire, has been given two weeks to show how it will improve its performance.
The Care Quality Commission found the Trust failed four out of the five areas it inspected in June.
The report says the Trust did not have enough staff to keep people safe and meet their needs. And it had “serious concerns” that while the Trust was redesigning services too many people were failing to get treatment.
Last month the Trust was criticised in a report following murders in Swindon carried by patients under its care in 2007.
