(pic Nick Upton)Next week (April 16-22) is Bee Roadzz Launch Week on the Marlborough Downs.  Marlborough Downs Space for Nature (MDSFN) and Transition Marlborough will be creating a ‘buzz’ about bees, aiming to raise the awareness of the importance of bees and pollinators and to encourage everyone in the area to be ‘Bee Friendly’.

No debate over Oxenwood and Braeside's' future, just over whether the 'call in' was correct

Braeside, one of the two Centres being closed by Wiltshire CouncilBraeside, one of the two Centres being closed by Wiltshire Council'Let's debate whether we can debate a decision we've made'.  This was the thrust of a two hour public debate with the Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee of Wiltshire Council at County Hall, Trowbridge today (April 10) which ended with councillors rejecting a ‘call-in’ by a vote of eight to five.  'We've decided we can't (won't?)' was their decision.

Merged for a year – how Marlborough and Pewsey surgeries are working as one

Pewsey SurgeryPewsey SurgeryThe merger of the Marlboorough and Pewsey GP surgeries into one organisation - the Kennet and Avon Medical Practice (KAMP) - was formally completed a year go as a way to sustain a full GP-led health service in the wider Marlborough and Pewsey area.  Now the results of the merged Patient Participation Group’s survey has shown how the merger has gone down with their patients.
