Town Council wins Lottery grant towards Marlborough Community & Youth Centre refurbishment

Not this time, scaffolders start work on the repair to the garageUPDATE: it is expected that the traffic lights will be operating in Barn Street until Tuesday night (October 3).  Wiltshire Council says the delays to traffic will be "moderate".  Thursday morning (September 28) saw a team of scaffolders arrive to shore up the garage on Barn Street that was damaged the day before by an Army vehicle - see adjacent article.

Was September in Marlborough a wet month? Yes, it was - very wet - and here's the proof

The statistics prove it was a very wet month with total rainfall amounting to 75.0mm, which was 13.5mm above the 33-year average and the wettest September since 2008. The maximum fall was 8.7mm on September 24.

Earlier this afternoon (27 September) just gone 3 o'clock in Herd St.  An Army personnel carrier has just demolished the garage doors of a unit further down the hill (arrow points to the debris lying in the road).
