Marlborough's new Youth and Community Centre gets a vote of thanks from Waitrose shoppers

Anna Gilbert, 18-year old missing in MarlboroughAnna Gilbert, 18-year old missing in MarlboroughPolice are appealing for the public's help in finding an 18-year-old woman who has gone missing from Marlborough.  Anna Gilbert was last seen at her address on Maurice Way, Marlborough, in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 22 March) and concerns are growing for her welfare.

Litter heroes battle the elements to clean up Marlborough

ARK clean-upARK clean-upThis weekend, as part of the Great British Spring Clean, Town Councillors, volunteers from Marlborough in Bloom, ARK and the local community joined together to tackle the litter in the town.  After a successful clean-up on Friday and Saturday the weather moved in and yesterday’s session in the Priory Gardens and High Street had to be cancelled.

Year 2 Ramsbury pupils releasing trout with Anna ForbesYear 2 Ramsbury pupils releasing trout with Anna ForbesPupils from Ramsbury Primary, Marlborough St. Mary’s and Kennet Valley Primary have all been participating in Action for the River Kennet (ARK) Trout in Schools Project.  Over sixty trout from each school have been released into the Kennet and Marlborough’s Mayor Mervyn was there to help.  A few tears were shed as primary school children waved goodbye to their baby trout which they have been nurturing for several months.
