Pupils and staff at Kennet Valley School enjoyed a day of fundraising and fun on Friday November 15. As a result, a total of £144 was raised for Children in Need.
Staff and children paid a pound for the privilege of wearing their pyjamas and bringing their favourite teddy to school. A teddy bears’ tea party was held in the school hall with delicious homemade cakes and fruit juice.
Year 6 pupils read stories to the younger pupils and the teddies. A school raffle was held with many cuddly toys as prizes, including a Pudsey Bear.
Kennet Valley School headteacher is Emma Russell: “It was fantastic to see the whole school community pull together to help raise money for such a great cause, and it fills me with pride to see that all of our children here not only participate, but also recognise the real reason for the fun is to help disadvantaged children all over the country.”
