Marlborough Golf Club Championship sees new course record
The recent Club Championship at Marlborough Golf Club saw Jez Tomlinson set a new course record of 64 on the Saturday of the competition. His round included eagles at the ninth, twelfth and thirteen.
He followed this with a 74 on the Sunday giving him a two-round total of 138 and a clear win.
Some distance back on 150 was 16 year-old Jamie Amor, brother of Ben Amor who recently won the England Under-18 Boys Championship.
Don Seaman was third on 152. The day also saw David Lewis, fresh from almost winning the County Seniors Championship, hit a hole in one on the eighth.
For the Ladies, Karen Gosling again ruled supreme with a gross total of 155, twelve shots clear of her nearest rival Natasha Chapman.
The Championship weekend raised £1125 for various charities and was greatly helped by the sponsorship of Callaway and Fullers.
