On Thusday of last week (15 March) the sale of the Three Horseshoes went through to a company specialising in development and the pub signage was removed.
Although Wadworths sold the property ‘licensed as a public house’, the purchasers are a company – Red Star WSL Ltd – based in Windsor, with the Company House Nature of Business listed as ‘41100 – Development of building projects’.
Marlborough.news has not as yet been able to contact the director of Red Star, Mario Lisle for any comment, but it appears that they have been involved in the development of public houses into residential accommodation elsewhere.
Red Star WSL Ltd were the applicant for a change of use planning application relating to the ‘French Horn’ pub on Marlborough Rd, Pewsey adjacent to the bridge across the Kennet & Avon canal.
The application, described as- ‘Change of use of former public house with four bedroom residential accommodation above to a 4 bedroom dwelling with car parking and garden’ – was approved, subject to conditions in May 2016.
