Many of Marlborough’s High Street shops will be staying open until 7.30pm on Thursday December 13. There will be mulled wine, glasses of fizz, mince pies and in-store promotions to put shoppers in a festive mood.
With free parking after 6 pm this is a chance for shoppers to support Marlborough’s High Street stores, to enjoy the Christmas lights and to take advantage of special offers.
Toby Hassell, manager of Landmark, has been instrumental in organising the evening and his store will be offering customers a glass of fizz and mince pies.
Megan Bowyer of Beauty Fulltime, which stocks a huge range of perfumes, make-up and skincare has some extra special discounts for that evening only. Shoppers can sip prosecco or port while they browse and there are mince pies on offer.
Shoppers in Valentiner will be treated to a glass of wine and mince pies. Those who spend £40 or more will receive a £5 gift voucher.
Aveda are offering nibbles and a free gift with every purchase as well as discounted Christmas gift sets. Free facials are available throughout the evening and can be booked in advance.
Many of the shops have in-store promotions. Phase Eight has up to 70% discount on many items, Cath Kidston is offering up to 40% and Monsoon has many special offers including three for two on items from Accessorize.
Mint Velvet, Joules, The Whitehorse Bookshop, Crew, Jaeger and, of course, The Merchants House with its special Christmas decoration and gift room, are just some of the other shops that will be open.
Paul Collis, from Valentiner said, “I sincerely hope that as many people as possible will take advantage of the evening so we can make it a regular feature in the run-up to Christmas each year. “
