Premier Inn staff give Marlborough’s Scout Hut a facelift

Premier Inn staff with Derek Baker, Chairman of 2nd Marlborough Scouts and Dave Waltham, TreasurerPremier Inn staff with Derek Baker, Chairman of 2nd Marlborough Scouts and Dave Waltham, TreasurerStaff from Marlborough’s new hotel, the Premier Inn on Salisbury Road, spent this afternoon, November 25, painting Marlborough’s Scout Hut inside and out.

Premier Inn Deputy Manager Bishwa Ghimire told marlborough.news, “We are proud to have carried out this community project. It has been good fun, everyone has enjoyed it. It’s been a good opportunity for team building. It’s given our staff time to get to know each other and allowed them to learn something about the community we will be serving.”

Dave Waltham, Treasurer, commented, “The Premier Inn staff have done a fantastic job. Everywhere looks so much better.  As treasurer it means I can more easily hire out the hall which is now looking spick and span. We already have many community groups using the hall such as Bridge Club, yoga, MAD, University of Third Age, Tai Chi and of course children’s parties.”

Premier Inn, Marlborough, is due to open officially on December 16.
