Marlborough businesses take action over Coronavirus threat
Many Marlborough business explaining to the Marlborough community the action they are taking to keep the Coronavirus at bay and their staff and customers as safe as possible.
Angus MacLennan informed custonmers that should any member of staff, or professional suppliers to The White Horse Bookshop succumb to the infection the shop will close and all will self-isolate. They will extend this to include any visitors to the shop as well, any individuals who have spent any significanty time in the shop.
"I believe that this is the sensible, responsible and proportionate response that you all would expect us to take and would want us to take. We are not panicking and remain hopeful that our considerate planning will come to nothing." said Angus.
Savernake Dental, on the Marlborough Busines Park issued an e-mail to all clients setting out their policy regarding Coronavirus, noting that while their "standard procedures are designed to protect both patients and staff from the risk of contracting contagious diseases at all times", they will be following all the daily guidelines from the NHS and Government and be asking patients to detail all recent foreign travel (within previous fourteen days), if they have been in contact with anyone exhibiting possible symptoms of Coronavirus, and asking that all visitors to the premises wash their hands as they enter the building and again before they leave. Hatt's Health & Movement Clinic in Hughenden Yard e-mailed clients explainingthe measure tat were being taken to ensure their safety and that of their team. Emphasis is placed on the need for all clients to wash hands with soap and water before and after consultations and that hand sanitiser is now available at the clinic, and that staff will not be shaking hands with patients.
