A man who is accused of burgling a Marlborough podiatrist is to face trial by judge and jury (see previous report)
Lee Dommett is said to have been one of two men who raided The Beute Clinic in Wagon Yard on the afternoon of Monday February 12.
The 34-year-old, of Ramsbury Avenue, Swindon, pleaded not guilty to six counts of burglary over a ten month period when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
It is alleged two men forced the front door of the clinic, on London Road, and tried to take money from the till inside the premises.
However the raiders, who CCTV showed arriving and inside the building at about 4pm, left empty handed.
As well as the Marlborough matter Dommett is accused of burgling two homes and three other businesses, including a squash club, in Swindon between September 2017 and April this year.
Recorder Jane Rowley adjourned the case for trial on Tuesday September 4 and released him on conditional bail until then.
Dommett has been put on a 21 hour tagged curfew from noon to 9am, must live at his home address and not leave Penhill or go to the Abbey Meads area of Swindon.
