A cheque for the Town Council’s grant to Marlborough St. Mary’s of £600 towards the second stage of their playground equipment has been presented to the Headteacher, Anne Schwodler.
Mayor Mervyn Hall said: “The Town Council is very pleased to contribute towards improving the amenities at the school and I’m sure the playground equipment will give the children much pleasure.”
Anne Schwodler said: “We’re really grateful to the Town Council for supporting the school, it’s invaluable. The second stage of the playground equipment will include a Trim Trail with logs on chains, a balance beam and monkey bars. These are all very good for developing core strength.”
