Preshute Nativity Rocks

Hosts of angels, a star, some shepherds and animalsHosts of angels, a star, some shepherds and animalsIn a long established tradition of well over thirty years, Preshute Primary School will end the term on Wednesday afternoon (20 December) with their nativity service in Marlborough College Chapel.

It’s a rockin’ and rollin’ nativity and while the main parts are acted out by Year 6 and their reception class buddies, the whole school is involved.

Claire Graham headteacher of Preshute Primary School with the nativity service programmeClaire Graham headteacher of Preshute Primary School with the nativity service programmeHeadteacher, Claire Graham, told marlborough.news, “It’s a lovely Christmassy way to end the term with the whole school community coming together.  The chapel will be packed with pupils, teachers, parents, grandparents and friends and there will be fabulous singing.”

Year 6 have designed the programme which includes catchy numbers like ‘We can’t squeeze you in’ and ‘Nativity Rock, Nativity Roll.’

Reverend Tim Novis, Senior Chaplain at Marlborough College will welcome visitors to the service while the Christmas blessing will be given by the Reverend Miri Keen.

The service will end with a rendition of ‘Jingle Bells’ by the school choir and then Christmas will have officially begun.
